Representatives of Ha Long University welcome and work with Mr. Tsutomu Takebe and Japanese working delegation

On the afternoon of March 14, 2024, Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep, Rector of Ha Long University and leaders of Ha Long University welcomed and worked with Mr. Tsutomu Takebe, Special Advisor to Japan - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance and to Ha Long University along with the working delegation.

On the afternoon of March 14, 2024, Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep (Rector of Ha Long University), Dr. Phan Thi Hue (Vice-Rector of Ha Long University), along with key leaders of Office of International Cooperation and Science Management, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Office of Academic Training and lecturers from Department of Japanese Language had a reception and working session with Mr. Tsutomu Takebe (Special Advisor to the Japan – Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance and to Ha Long University) and the working delegation.

After the Hokkaido Festival in Ha Long in November 2023, Ha Long University gained a higher position in international cooperation and education, both nationally and internationally. The relationship between Ha Long University and Japanese partners thanks to Mr. Tsutomu Takebe’s connection has also been strengthened. Mr. Tsutomu Takebe and Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep share the same ambition of reaching Ha Long University a higher level of professionality and good-quality educational output.

After the introduction and warm welcome, Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep (Rector of Ha Long University) and Mr. Tsutomu Takebe discussed the collaboration contents according to the Memorandum of Understanding between Ha Long University and Japanese Public Utility Organization Toa Soken. These include the exchange of lecturers and students between Ha Long University and partners in Japan via Mr. Tsutomu Takebe’s connections. Mr. Tsutomu Takebe also suggested that Halong university plan for study programs for Japanese language students specializing in training skills and practical knowledge for work at Japanese organizations in Vietnam and worldwide, and ensures the job opportunities for students who have completed the training program.

Along with the collaboration contents, representatives from both sides had a meeting with students of Ha Long University who aim to study in Japan, giving advice on practical majors in Japan for future jobs, the advantages and difficulties of the application processes, opportunities for scholarships, and answering other questions from the students.

In the morning of the same day, representatives of Ha Long University had a meeting and working session with Mr. WATANUKI Yoshinori, Head of International Department of TOA Organization, Secretary of the Japanese Department of Vietnam – Japan University; Mr. HONDA Hirotaka, General Director of With US Vietnam Company. The working session discussed the the demand on Japanese Language education and future job opportunities for Japanese Language learners, in order to develop Japanese Language and Culture Center.
