International cooperation highlights of Ha Long University in March 2024

Ha Long University meets students participating in the student exchange program at Pyeongtaek University (Korea)

On the morning of March 25, Dr. Phan Thi Hue (Vice Principal) and representatives of other departments of Ha Long University had a meeting with 08 students majoring in Korean language before the exchange program at Pyeongtaek University, Korea.

During the meeting, school representatives exchanged important information about the one-year student exchange program at Pyeongtaek University; took into consideration their thoughts, wishes, and answered questions raised among students participating in the program and their parents;

At the end of the meeting, the students’ parents expressed their trust and appreciation towards the School’s student exchange program.

Ha Long University welcomed and worked with Mr. Takebe Tsutomu and the delegation

On the afternoon of March 13, administrators of Ha Long University and heads of departments and faculties of the University had a meeting with Mr. Takebe Tsutomu (Special Advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance, Special Advisor of Ha Long University) and the working group.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between Ha Long University and TOA Institution with the following contents: Exchanging students between Ha Long University and partners in Japan ; Establishing a highly practical and applicable learning program that meets domestic and international labor needs; Surveying the demand to learn Japanese, as an initiative to develop the Japanese Language and Culture Center at the University.

After the meeting, representatives of TOA Institution met and had a talk with students of Ha Long University majoring in Japanese Language and other majors – those who wish to study, intern and work in Japan.

Ha Long University works with Vikogo Group Joint Stock Company

On the afternoon of March 8, Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep (Principal), Dr. Phan Thi Hue (Vice Principal) and representatives of units of Ha Long University had a working program with the leaders of Vikogo Global Group Joint Stock Company (a company based in Vietnam that provides services for studying abroad in Korea).

 At the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues such as: Vikogo provides assistance in connecting Ha Long University with universities in Korea to implement student and lecturer exchange programs; coordinates with Ha Long University in the implementation of a program aimed to recruit students in Quang Ninh province to study and work in Korea.

On the afternoon of March 7, the delegation of Taiwan My Hoa University of Science and Technology (China) led by Mr. WANG, CHIEN-TAI (Principal) visited and worked at Ha Long University. Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep (Principal), Dr. Phan Thi Hue (Vice Principal), and representatives of units of Ha Long University were present at the meeting.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the following contents: cooperative training, exchange lecturers and students… After the meeting, there was a basketball competition program for female students of the two universities.

Ha Long University welcomes students of the Faculty of International Studies, Ryukoku University

On the afternoon of March 3, Ha Long University had a meeting to welcome Professor Furmanovsky Michael and 15 students from the Faculty of International Studies, Ryukoku University (Japan). The meeting witnessed the presence of epresentatives of the Office of International Cooperation and Science Management; students of the Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Japanese Language and Japan Club.

At the meeting, Ha Long University introduced an overview of the establishment, development and training activities of the university, and discussed the direction of organizing student exchange programs in the upcoming years.

After the meeting, the delegation of Ryukoku University visited the campus of Ha Long University and the Vietnam – Japan cultural exchange program amo students of the two schools was organized at the Japanese cultural space of Ha Long University.

From February 29 to March 3, the Ha Long University working group led by Dr. Phan Thi Hue, Vice Principal visited and worked at the Department of Education and Sports of Luang Prabang province (Lao PDR) and a number of high schools in Luang Prabang province (Lao PDR).

On February 29, 2024, the delegation had a working session with the Department of Education and Sports of Luang Prabang province. Dr. Vong Phet U Dom Lit, Head of the Department, and heads/head deputies of units under the Department welcomed Ha Long University delegation:

At the meeting, the two sides jointly evaluated the achieved results, pointed out outstanding points and shortcomings related to the training and management of International Students (IS) of Luang Prabang province studying at Ha Long University in the period 2012 – 2024. From there, the two sides discussed and came to agreement on some solutions in the upcoming time.

Also at the working session, the working group announced a number of priority policies for students in Luang Prabang province registering to self-sufficient abroad study at the University from 2024, along with many financial incentives for students who register for Vietnamese language courses and short-term tourism professional training courses.

Continuing the working program, on March 1 – 2, 2024, representatives of the Department of Education and Sports of Luang Prabang and the delegation visited and worked with a number of high schools in the province: the provincial Luang Prabang Professional Technical School, Orphan School; Independence High School; Pong – Kham High School;
