International cooperation highlights of Ha Long University in August 2024

Ha Long University organizes the closing ceremony and awards Vietnamese language certificates to Laotian students of the 12th course in 2024

On the morning of August 22, Ha Long University held the closing ceremony and awarded Vietnamese language certificates to Laotian students of the 2024 course. Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof., Dr. Hoang Thi Thu Giang (Vice Rector) of Ha Long University, and representatives of the units.

The 12th Vietnamese language training course has 99 students from 3 provinces of Northern Laos (Hua Phan, Xaynhabuly, Luongphabang). During the 10 months of studying Vietnamese at Ha Long University, Laotian students have always received attention and supports, both physically and mentally, and have been taught and well-oriented by a team of experienced lecturers in their training classes, so the quality of training is getting higher each course.

From August 8 – 10, 2024, the delegation of Ha Long University, led by Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep (Rector of the University) participated in the activities of the Human Resources Forum in Hokkaido, Nhật Bản.

At the forum, the Rector of Ha Long University discussed the human resource training strategy of Ha Long University. He affirmed that in the past, the University has always attached importance to and has had many agreements and cooperation programs on student exchange, internship and reception of expert lecturers with Japanese partners. Ha Long University is determined to continue to be proactive and creative in implementing educational and training tasks; to promptly adjust and upgrade the high-quality human resource training strategies, in order to provide high-quality human resources for Quang Ninh province and Japanese partners.

 At the invitation of the Taiwan Culture, Education and Vocational training Association and universities in Taiwan (China), from July 29 to August 2, 2024, the delegation of Ha Long University – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quy Giang – Head of Office of International Cooperation and Science Management, Dr. Vu Van Vien – Head of Faculty of Tourism and Dr. Nguyen Thi Hang – Head of Faculty of Foreign Languages – ​​visited and worked with universities in Taiwan including National Taichung University of Education, Ming Chuan University, and Ling Tung University to connect and expand cooperation in training and internship, seek study and employment opportunities for students.

During the working program, the delegation discussed and exchanged with the partners about the potential cooperation contents in the upcoming time, especially in sending students for internship or exchange programs; sending lecturers to study to improve their qualifications under master and doctoral programs with scholarships from Taiwan, and coordinating to develop international training programs.
