From July 29 to August 2, 2024, the delegation of Ha Long University visited and worked with universities in Taiwan (China) to connect and expand cooperation in training and internship, seek abroad-study and employment opportunities for students..

At the invitation of the Taiwan Culture, Education and Vocational training Association and universities in Taiwan (China), the delegation of Ha Long University – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quy Giang – Head of Office of International Cooperation and Science Management, Dr. Vu Van Vien – Head of Faculty of Tourism and Dr. Nguyen Thi Hang – Head of Faculty of Foreign Languages – ​​visited and worked with universities in Taiwan including National Taichung University of Education, Ming Chuan University, and Ling Tung University to connect and expand cooperation in training and internship, seek study and employment opportunities for students. Accompanying the delegation were leaders of the Science Institute for Global Education (SIGE).

During the working program, the delegation visited the facilities, lecture halls, dormitories, training faculties, learned about the training programs, internship programs, scholarship programs for international students, etc. of the universities. The delegation also discussed and exchanged with the partners about the potential cooperation contents in the upcoming time, especially in sending students for internship or exchange programs; sending lecturers to study to improve their qualifications under master and doctoral programs with scholarships from Taiwan, and coordinating to develop international training programs. At the end of the working programs, representatives of Ha Long University and the partner universities agreed to draft a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the cooperation contents in the nearest future.

The education system of Taiwan (China) is considered one of the most advanced in Asia and is in the top 20 in the world. The visit and working program of the delegation of Ha Long University in Taiwan (China) has opened up many directions for cooperation between Ha Long University and universities in Taiwan, creating a premise for the school’s lecturers and students to have the opportunity to study, practice, and improve their qualifications in one of the most advanced and modern educational environments in the world.
