From May 26 to 27, 2026, Ha Long University participated in the regular online meeting to implement project activities and conduct surveys under Work Package 4 (WP4) of the project “Developing Education in Vietnam and Cambodia Enhancing Employability for Students” (DEVICES).

The online meeting for the implementation of the DEVICES Project, “Developing Education in Vietnam and Cambodia Enhancing Employability for Students”, was attended by numerous universities and international organizations participating in the project.

The meeting was held online instead of the in-person meeting originally scheduled to take place at the University of Battambang (Cambodia), with the participation of universities, organizations, and international partners within the project consortium. At Ha Long University, the meeting was chaired by Dr. Phan Thi Hue, Vice Rector of Ha Long University, with the active participation of project members attending in person at the university meeting room while connecting online with international partners.

Within the framework of the working program, partners exchanged updates and reviewed the overall progress of the DEVICES project, including project management activities, implemented tasks, achieved results, and deliverables completed by May 2026. The meeting also focused on discussing plans for submitting upcoming deliverables and deadlines for internal project reports.

Project members discussed and reviewed the implementation contents of the project.

Notably, the session on Work Package 3 (WP3) focused on evaluating the pilot phase of the interdisciplinary digital workspace platform in Vietnam and Cambodia, sharing initial outcomes, challenges encountered during implementation, and orientations for upcoming activities.

Leaders and lecturers of Ha Long University demonstrated strong commitment to successfully implementing the university’s international science and technology project

In addition, partners held in-depth discussions on Work Package 4 (WP4), which focuses on designing e-learning solutions for career management skills. Discussions centered on research implementation plans, preparation for upcoming deliverables, feedback from partners on preliminary survey results, and agreement on the timeline for future tasks. The meeting also included discussions on communication and dissemination activities under Work Package 6 (WP6) to enhance the visibility and impact of the project among key stakeholders.

As part of the implementation of WP4 under the DEVICES Project, Ha Long University also conducted a survey for students to explore their existing soft skills. The survey aims to enhance students’ employability, as well as their ability to self-assess and reflect on their own competencies.

The collected survey data will support the activities of the DEVICES Project while also serving as a basis for the University to study students’ actual needs and develop workshops and soft skills training programs. These activities are expected to equip students with essential competencies and better prepare them for their future careers after graduation.
