In an open market economy, accounting has become a service sector and an important profession. Accounting activities have developed alongside the completion of the legal framework and the strengthening of business organizations. With the growth in both the number and scale of business organizations, the demand for accounting services is increasingly high, in line with the economic requirements and the development trends of countries in the region and internationally. The accounting profession is increasingly asserting its position.

Accounting students will be provided with knowledge about the legal framework of accounting and auditing, the system of Vietnamese accounting standards, and international accounting standards; regulations on professional ethics for accountants and auditors; knowledge about collecting, processing, verifying, and providing information on financial status and business performance through accounting operations: calculating fees, budgeting, budget allocation, and revenue management following business plans.

Students will also be equipped with knowledge about public accounting, accounting in the banking sector, tax accounting, and the declaration and settlement of various taxes.

Graduates of the Accounting program can apply for positions in various organizations such as:

• Businesses;
• Administrative and public service units;
• Audit firms, accounting, and tax consulting companies;
• Banks, financial companies, insurance companies;
• Some state management agencies related to finance, accounting, and auditing, such as the Department of Finance, State Treasury, Customs, Tax Departments;
