General Introduction

Training Objectives:

The Master's program aims to equip students with a solid understanding of theory, high-level practical skills, the ability to work independently, creatively, and the capacity to identify and solve problems within their field of study. The graduate program must ensure core knowledge for the field of Computer Science (CS) and leverage the strengths of specialized areas within the CS department, including: Knowledge Technology and Machine Learning; Natural Language Processing; Computer Vision.

Students will gain both foundational and advanced knowledge, a solid methodological framework, and the ability to apply modern achievements in CS to meet the high demands of society. They will also have the capacity for high-level research and development, as well as the ability to take on leadership roles and contribute positively to the advancement of science and technology. The training is conducted with both research-oriented and application-oriented approaches, specifically:

  • Research-oriented program: Provides students with in-depth knowledge of the field and specialized areas, along with appropriate scientific research methods to enable independent research, develop scientific viewpoints and theories, and begin to form scientific ideas, discover, explore, and experiment with new knowledge. Graduates will be capable of working in research, teaching, consulting, policy-making, or other positions within their field of study and may continue to pursue a doctoral program.
  • Application-oriented program: Helps students enhance their professional knowledge and skills; develop the ability to work independently and creatively; design products, apply research results, discover, and organize the implementation of complex tasks in their professional activities, effectively utilizing specialized knowledge in practical work that aligns with the actual conditions of organizations and economic units. Students may also supplement foundational knowledge and research methods required for doctoral training to continue in a doctoral program.

Core and specialized knowledge is emphasized, creating conditions for students to enhance their motivation for self-research and exploration, helping them develop knowledge, improve professional capacity, and apply their skills in practice.

 Learning Outcomes

The Master's program in Computer Science will provide students with the necessary foundational and specialized knowledge and skills, along with a learning environment that meets international standards. The goal is to prepare graduates to work in high-tech scientific and technological environments, both domestically and internationally. Students will also focus on training in scientific research methods, fostering creativity, and the ability to continue learning and researching in advanced environments worldwide.
