On the morning of December 14, in Uông Bí City, the Vietnam Linguistics Association, in collaboration with Ha Long University, organized the National Linguistics Conference 2024 with the theme "Language Education - Culture in the Context of Exchange, Integration, and Development." This is the 23rd time the National Linguistics Conference has been held, attracting the attention of the linguistic research community nationwide.
The National Linguistics Conference is held every two years to provide an opportunity for researchers, lecturers, teachers, experts, and education managers to exchange and share knowledge and experiences in the field of Language and Culture education, contributing to addressing the issues raised in the context of the country's renewal and international integration.

In his welcoming speech at the seminar, Dr. Nguyễn Đức Tiệp - Rector of Ha Long University, emphasized that through 22 editions held in Hanoi and various localities across the country, the National Linguistics Seminar has particularly attracted the attention of the linguistic research community, including faculty and students from Ha Long University. The proceedings of the 23rd seminar include 95 selected research works from a large number of submissions, meticulously edited with over 1,000 pages, further demonstrating that this is truly a serious, high-quality, and open academic forum. Being entrusted by the Vietnam Linguistics Association to host the 23rd Linguistics Seminar in 2024 reflects the Association's and scientists' interest in the training and research work of Ha Long University, while also affirming the institution's reputation in this field.

At the plenary session, scientists and leading experts in the Vietnamese language shared and discussed issues related to the strategy of cultural language education through coastal and island place names in the context of digital technology; the word network and the application of the word network in developing vocabulary for children.
The subcommittees of the conference also focused on reporting and analyzing content related to "Teaching and learning Vietnamese in general education schools," "Teaching and learning Vietnamese as a foreign language and teaching and learning ethnic languages," "Teaching and learning foreign languages," and the subcommittee on "Vietnamese linguistics."

Attending the seminar, more than 100 lecturers and students representing language-related fields from Ha Long University not only had the opportunity to meet and interact with leading scientists and experts in the Vietnamese language but also engaged in discussions with specialists on issues related to language and culture education, as well as the relationship between language and culture in contemporary education. This contributed to enhancing the effectiveness of teaching, learning, and research in language and interdisciplinary sciences.

After 10 years of establishment, Ha Long University has offered 31 training programs from intermediate to postgraduate levels (3 master's programs, 22 bachelor's programs, 2 associate programs, and 4 intermediate programs), with a training scale of over 8,000 learners and students. Among them, there are 3,000 learners and students enrolled in language and culture programs, including: English, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese; Cultural and Artistic Management; Literature - Journalism - Communication. In addition, Ha Long University also organizes Vietnamese language training for foreigners, contributing to strengthening solidarity and friendly cooperative relations with international friends, and providing high-quality human resources for Quang Ninh province and the country.
