The program trains primary school teachers at the undergraduate level, equipping them with the necessary competencies to teach at primary schools and to work as specialists in the field of primary education at departments and offices of Education and Training, research organizations, and educational development consulting agencies, as well as in other fields. Graduates will have the ability to self-learn, participate in higher education, and have the potential to continue in postgraduate training programs.

3. Learning Outcomes

3.1 Knowledge Standards

  • Graduates will possess knowledge that meets the standards required for primary school teachers: a solid understanding of teaching objectives, curriculum, and textbook content at the primary level, with the ability to teach all subjects and grade levels in primary education.
  • They will have teaching methods that meet the requirements for primary education: methods for teaching the primary curriculum based on a student-centered approach, assessment methods for evaluating student learning outcomes in accordance with the educational reforms in primary education; regularly updated knowledge on innovative teaching methods in primary education to apply these methods in practical teaching and student education.

3.2 Skills Standards

  • Graduates will have skills in planning education, teaching, and assessment in primary education, as well as the ability to create professional documentation as primary school teachers.
  • They will be able to apply teaching methods correctly, flexibly, and creatively to organize learning activities and educate primary school students (including teaching special groups such as ethnic minority students and students with disabilities in an inclusive manner).
  • They will have the ability to creatively apply and evaluate the use of educational and developmental psychology knowledge in the education of primary school students.
  • Graduates will have skills in organizing and implementing class management, extracurricular educational activities, and activities for the Young Pioneers and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; skills in classroom management and educating individual students.
  • They will possess communication and pedagogical skills, handling educational situations in a friendly, fair, and effective manner, in line with the educational goals for primary school students, and have skills in interacting with students' families, colleagues, and community members.

  • Graduates will have a spirit of patriotism, love for socialism, and awareness of complying with the Party's policies, the State's laws, and the regulations and requirements of the education sector and local primary education. They will cultivate the moral qualities of a citizen and a teacher, building a lifestyle that is honest, healthy, simple, and united.
  • They will have a passion for teaching, love and respect for students, a fair attitude towards students, and a commitment to educating and caring for students, serving as role models in the teaching and education process, with a spirit of striving to become exemplary educators.

  • Graduates will have the ability to independently organize activities to enhance their professional skills; the capacity to proactively and flexibly solve problems in a scientific, effective, and creative manner, in line with the competencies required of a primary school teacher.
