One of the leading fields in terms of labor demand and offers high salaries. This field requires maximum dynamism, including the management and operation of tourism, responsibility for assigning tasks to tour guides, gathering information to coordinate with departments and authorities to resolve issues, designing travel programs, establishing and maintaining good relationships with partners, managing facilities and equipment, managing personnel, managing finances, ensuring safety and security according to regulations, and closely monitoring and evaluating work results to achieve high business efficiency. This is considered the most promising "smokeless industry" of the century in the trend of globalization.

The training program for Tourism and Hospitality Management at the Faculty of Tourism, Ha Long University, offers both undergraduate and college-level training that is built and updated according to domestic and international tourism trends. Students in this major enjoy learning through field trips both domestically and internationally. After graduation, students will be capable of choosing jobs according to their interests, preferences, and the specialized fields they wish to pursue in the training program, including:

  • Taking on one of the positions as staff in a travel company: tour designer, tour operator, sales staff, tour guide, working in cultural tourism departments, tourism offices, etc.
  • Taking on one of the positions as staff in a hotel: marketing, reception, customer service, or management in resorts and entertainment areas.
  • Depending on personal abilities, practical experience, work environment, and the type of tourism and hospitality services, graduates may be able to take on higher positions such as front desk supervisor or manager of small and medium-sized travel enterprises.

Upon completing this training program, students will have the necessary skills to work for tourism businesses, tourism management agencies, and professional tourism organizations, as well as to further develop their expertise in tourism research. This training program allows graduates to pursue further studies or transition into undergraduate and postgraduate training programs.
