Outstanding international cooperation activities of Ha Long University in November 2024

Ha Long University welcomed and worked with Technical University of Ostrava, Tomas Bata University and European Cooperation Center, Ton Duc Thang University (EEC)

On the morning of November 20, 2024, Ha Long University welcomed and worked with Technical University of Ostrava, Tomas Bata University and European Cooperation Center, Ton Duc Thang University (EEC) to discuss cooperation opportunities between Ha Long University and the two partner Universities in the Czech Republic.

Attending the meeting, from Ha Long University, there was the participation of Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep - Rector of the University; representatives of Office of International Cooperation and Science Management, Department of Training, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Environment, Department of Economics. The delegation of the Czech Republic University included Mr. Phan Dao - Director of the European Cooperation Center of Ton Duc Thang University and Bata Center, Rector of Tomas Bata University, Rector of Ostrava Technical University and Deans of the two universities.

The view of the working program

At the meeting, representatives of the three universities introduced the facilities, key fields of study of each university and the cooperation activities with great potentials to contribute effectively to the development of education and training, such as student and lecturer exchange, joint research, internship and international training cooperation, and discussed the inside contents to sign a cooperation agreement in the nearest future.

Ha Long University works with the TOA Institution on developing the Japanese Language and Culture Center

On the afternoon of November 7, 2024, Ha Long University had a working session with the TOA Institution within the framework of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) SDGs Business Needs Confirmation Survey for the Japanese Human Resources Development in Northern Vietnam to develop the Japanese Language and Culture Center

Attending the meeting were Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep - Rector of Ha Long University, representatives from Office of International Cooperation and Science Management, Department of Japanese Language - Faculty of Foreign Languages, with the presence of representatives of Quang Ninh University of Industry, Quang Ninh Medical College, and North East College of Agriculture and Forestry

At the meeting, leaders of Ha Long University and TOA Soken (Japan) discussed and made plans to develop the Japanese Language and Culture Center at Ha Long University in the near future

Within the framework of the working session, the TOA Institution announced current results of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) SDGs Business Needs Confirmation Survey for the Japanese Human Resources Development in Northern Vietnam, and consulted 03 higher education institutions in Quang Ninh province at the working session on the above report, thereby grasping the actual needs of students in Quang Ninh province for Japanese language and culture education, which must be attached to improving the required knowledge and skills for job hunting and career development.

Ha Long University held a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding with Navigos Group, TOA Global Association Viet Nam and a workshop on career development orientation for students

On the afternoon of November 8, 2024, Ha Long University held a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding among three parties: Ha Long University - Navigos Group Vietnam JSC - TOA Global Association Co., Ltd. and a workshop on career development orientation for students of Ha Long University.

The program had the presence of Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep – Rector of Ha Long University, representatives from Office of International Cooperation and Science Management, representatives from Department of Japanese Language – Faculty of Foreign Languages, along with leaders of TOA Organization, Navigos Group Vietnam Joint Stock Company, TOA Global Association Co., Ltd., Rikkeisoft Joint Stock Company, and 120 students of the University.

Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep – President of Ha Long University welcomed the delegates and students to the program, and commented on the importance of career orientation for students and the role of the University in promoting cooperation with international partners to bring about better career development opportunities for students.

Following the program, Ha Long University solemnly held the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding among the three parties: Ha Long University – Navigos Group Vietnam Joint Stock Company – TOA Global Association Vietnam Co., Ltd. The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding set a new milestone for the cooperation relationship among the three parties, opening up many opportunities for educational cooperation between Vietnam – Japan, and most importantly, career opportunities and career development prospect in the international labor market for students of Ha Long University.

Opening Ceremony of Vietnamese Language Training Course for Laotian Students, School Year 2024 – 2025

On the morning of October 12, 2024, Ha Long University solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of the Vietnamese Language Training Course for Laotian Students, School Year 2024 – 2025.

Attending the Opening Ceremony were Mrs. Chau Hoai Thu - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ninh, representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Public Security of Quang Ninh Province, Public Security of Uong Bi City, Mr. Soulideth Keobualapheth - Director of the Department of Education and Sports of Luang Prabang Province, representatives of the Departments, Boards, and Branches of Hua Phan and Xay Nha Bu Ly provinces. On the side of Ha Long University, there were Dr. Dang Hoang Thong (Chairman of the University Council), Assoc. Prof., Dr. Hoang Thi Thu Giang (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector), Dr. Phan Thi Hue (Vice Principal) and representatives of units in the University and all Laotian students studying at Ha Long University.

The 11th Vietnamese Language training class in school year 2024-2025 has 108 international students from 3 northern Lao provinces: Luang Prabang, Hua Phan, Xay Nha Bu Ly. The class lasts 10 months. After completing the class, international students who meet the language standards will continue to register for majors at colleges and universities in the province.

At the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Soulideth Keobualapheth (Director of the Department of Education and Sports of Luang Prabang Province) awarded Certificates of Merit of Luang Prabang Province to individuals of Ha Long University with outstanding achievements in training human resources for Laos
