Participating in the meeting from Ha Long University were Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep - the President of the University, Dr. Phan Thi Hue - the Vice President, along with leaders from the Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Culture, the International Cooperation Office, and the Scientific Management Department. Representing the Vietnam-Russia Baikal Friendship Association were Mr. Akhmadulin Andrei - President of the Vietnam-Russia Baikal Friendship Association in the Irkutsk region, and Mr. Lysenko Nikita - a member of the Vietnam-Russia Baikal Friendship Association in the Irkutsk region.

The representative of the Vietnam-Russia Baikal Friendship Association spoke at the working session
During this working session, the Vietnam-Russia Baikal Friendship Association expressed willingness to cooperate in education between the two sides, while creating opportunities for Ha Long University to expand its collaborative relationships with universities in Irkutsk Province, Russia. This will contribute to promoting and enhancing cooperation between the two countries. Ha Long University aims to establish a faculty exchange program with universities in Irkutsk Province, specifically with the Polytechnic University and the National University, providing opportunities for faculty members to learn and share in-depth experiences in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), tourism, environment, and marketing.

On the morning of March 25, 2025, Ha Long University held a working session with the Netherlands Senior Experts Organization (PUM) to discuss cooperation opportunities in education and training. Participating in the meeting from Ha Long University were Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep - the President of the University, along with leaders from the Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Environment, the International Cooperation Office, and the Scientific Management Department. Representing PUM were Mr. Sven Dekker - Coordinator and Head Representative of PUM in Vietnam; Mr. Bert Jan Post - National Coordinator of PUM in Vietnam; and Mr. Tran Quoc Long - representative of PUM Vietnam.

During the meeting, both sides discussed potential areas of cooperation. Ha Long University expressed desire to receive experts and volunteers from the PUM to teach and provide consulting on entrepreneurship; train faculty members in advanced teaching methods; bring in experts to teach about the development of the marine economy in Quang Ninh Province; and develop training programs related to artificial intelligence—a field that is becoming increasingly important in the digital age. Representatives from the PUM highly appreciated the development potential of Ha Long University as well as committed to supporting the provision of experts and strategic consulting to enhance the quality of the university's training programs

17th of March, Ha Long University Works and Signs a Memorandum of Cooperation with the International Language and Culture Academy Joint Stock Company
On March 17, 2025, a working session and the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation took place between Ha Long University and the International Language and Culture Academy Joint Stock Company (ILACA)
Attending the working program from Ha Long University were: Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep (President); Dr. Phan Thi Hue (Vice President); and representatives from various departments, including the International Cooperation & Scientific Management Office, the Faculty of Information Technology, and the Foreign Language and Informatics Center. Representing the International Language and Culture Academy (ILACA) were: Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Phuong (Director); Mr. Vu Anh Dung (Former Deputy Director and Founder of the Training & Technology Transfer Center, Institute of Information Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vice President of the National ILACA Digital School Ecosystem); and Ms. Do Thi Phuc (Director of ILACA in Quang Ninh Province.

Overview of the working session
Ha Long University and ILACA will collaborate on training programs, scientific research, and technology transfer in the field of international language and culture. Specifically, they will implement the "ILACA National Digital School Point - Ha Long University"; cooperate to organize competency assessments by Vietnam National University, Hanoi, at Ha Long University in 2026; organize training, refresher courses, and faculty and student exchanges; develop and implement digital training programs, support digital education management, and organize scientific workshops; assist students in choosing careers that match their abilities and societal needs; provide scholarships, career counseling, and organize practical experience activities for students

Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Ha Long University and the International Language & Culture Academy Joint Stock Company
10th of March, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Visits and Works with Ha Long University
On March 10, 2025, Ha Long University welcomed and worked with a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
Representing JICA were Mr. Ohi Toshiaki – Senior Advisor of the JICA Volunteer Dispatch Program, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngu – Officer in charge, JICA Vietnam Office; Ms. Kanda Eri – a Japanese language teaching volunteer at the Japanese Department of Ha Long University; and Ms. Miyake Akiho – a volunteer teaching youth activities currently working at Ha Long University. From Ha Long University, Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep – the President of Ha Long University, along with representatives from the Primary School, Secondary School, High School for Teacher Training, and the Kindergarten for Teacher Training, as well as the Japanese Department, participated in the meeting.

The Japan Volunteer Dispatch Program is part of the Vietnam-Japan Development Cooperation Program between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Japan through JICA Vietnam. It has been providing significant value to the training efforts at Ha Long University while also contributing to strengthening educational cooperation between the two countries. The meeting between Ha Long University and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) was successful, opening up many new opportunities for collaboration, enhancing the quality of training, and further tightening the friendly relations between Vietnam and Japan.

March 5, Ha Long University Delegation Attends the 2nd International Workshop under the REVFIN Project at Kien Giang University
A delegation from Ha Long University, led by Dr. Phan Thi Hue, the Vice President of the University, attended the 2nd International Workshop under the international cooperation project "Preventing, Reducing, and Recycling Fishing Gear Waste in Vietnam's Coastal Waters" (REVFIN)
The main objective of the REVFIN project is to prevent and reduce the generation of fishing gear waste in Vietnam's coastal waters through community education solutions for coastal fishermen. Additionally, the project has implemented technical solutions to establish collection and recycling processes, as well as to build a circular economy network from fishing gear in Vietnam's coastal areas.
At the 2nd International Workshop of the project, research results on the current status of fishing gear waste generation in Vietnam's coastal waters were presented by various speakers, and the socio-economic factors influencing fishing gear waste generation were also discussed.
