On the morning of November 20, 2024, Ha Long University welcomed and worked with Technical University of Ostrava, Tomas Bata University and European Cooperation Center, Ton Duc Thang University (EEC) to discuss cooperation opportunities between Ha Long University and the two partner Universities in the Czech Republic.
Attending the meeting, from Ha Long University, there was the participation of Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep - Rector of the University; representatives of Office of International Cooperation and Science Management, Department of Training, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Environment, Department of Economics. The delegation of the Czech Republic University included Mr. Phan Dao - Director of the European Cooperation Center of Ton Duc Thang University and Bata Center, Rector of Tomas Bata University, Rector of Ostrava Technical University and Deans of the two universities.

The view of the working program
At the meeting, representatives of the three universities introduced the facilities, key fields of study of each university and the cooperation activities with great potentials to contribute effectively to the development of education and training, such as student and lecturer exchange, joint research, internship and international training cooperation, and discussed the inside contents to sign a cooperation agreement in the nearest future.

Dr. Nguyen Duc Tiep - Rector of Ha Long University expressed his admiration towards the country and the people of the Czech Republic, as well as his aim to cooperate with Tomas Bata University and Ostrava Technical University to create opportunities for lecturers and students to study, research and develop in an international environment with advanced education. The bond between Ha Long University and each Czech's university has great impacts on the development of training and research, strengthening the friendly cooperation relationship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic. Ha Long University, Tomas Bata University and Ostrava Technical University all expressed their goodwill and desire to sign a cooperation agreement and implement practical and effective cooperation activities in the nearest future.

At the end of the working session, representatives of the universities and representatives of the European Cooperation Center exchanged gifts and took souvenir photos, marking the beginning of the cooperation journey between Ha Long University and universities of the Czech Republic.

Technical University of Ostrava was founded in 1849 and is currently located in the city of Ostrava, an industrial city in Northern Moravia. Technical University of Ostrava is one of the four largest public universities in the Czech Republic, with 7 faculties and approximately 22,000 students.
Tomas Bata University in Zlín is a public university in the Czech Republic in the Moravian city of Zlín. Tomas Bata University was founded in 2001 in the Czech Republic, the predecessor of the University was the Department of Technology, founded in 1969; it is a modern higher education institution meeting European standards.
