From November 5 to 7, 2025, a delegation from Ha Long University led by Dr. Tran Trung Vy – Standing Vice Rector, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quy Giang – Head of the Office of International Cooperation and Scientific Management, and M.A. Le Manh Ha – Deputy Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, attended the 3rd Transnational Meeting of the DEVICES Project – “Developing Education in Vietnam and Cambodia: Enhancing Employability for Students”, held at the University of Alicante, S
The DEVICES Project aims to develop education and enhance student employability in Vietnam and Cambodia through the design, implementation, and testing of an interdisciplinary digital learning platform, while promoting digital transformation in teaching and university governance.
The opening session took place in the afternoon of November 5, 2025, at the Faculty of Education, University of Alicante, with the participation of more than 50 delegates from universities in Spain, Poland, and Italy. Southeast Asian representatives included universities from Cambodia and Vietnam (Ha Long University, Hanoi University, and Nha Trang University). Dr. Juan Llopis, Director of International Relations and Projects at the University of Alicante, attended and delivered the opening remarks.

Following the welcome speech from the host university, delegates listened to a progress report on the project’s implementation, updates on ongoing work packages, and discussions on the structure of the digital learning platform to be piloted.

In the following days, the program continued with important sessions on project management, financial planning, e-learning solutions for career management skills, and communication and dissemination of project outcomes. Delegates also shared their experiences in project assessment and monitoring, discussed student competency evaluation frameworks, and defined tasks, deliverables, and future collaboration plans.

The active participation of Ha Long University in the DEVICES Project not only affirms the university’s commitment and capability in international integration but also contributes to promoting digital transformation at Ha Long University in particular and in Vietnamese higher education in general—toward building a smart learning environment that strengthens the link between education and the labor market.
