On the afternoon of December 20, 2024, Ha Long University welcomed and worked with the delegation of Hokkaido Province (Japan) to discuss cooperation opportunities with Japanese partners in internship and recruitment programs.

Attending the meeting, Ha Long University had the presence of Vice Rector, Dr. Phan Thi Hue, representatives of the Office of International Cooperation and Research Management, Department of Japanese Language, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Office of Training. The delegation from Hokkaido (Japan) included the Head of the Foreign Affairs Department - Hokkaido Policy Synthesis International Office and the leaders of Sekisho Career Plus Company (Japan) and Sekisho Vietnam Co., Ltd.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the pillar majors of the university; the future cooperation opportunities between Ha Long University and Japanese partners on how to effectively implement internship programs; methods and conditions for employers to recruit Ha Long University graduates for domestic and foreign Japanese enterprises.

Dr. Phan Thi Hue - Vice Rector of Ha Long University emphasized the importance of building focused and effective internship programs, aiming to ensure employment for students. Hokkaido is currently an attractive destination for interns because of its low living costs and high income, thus being a prospective environment for Ha Long University students to cultivate knowledge, develop professional skills, thereby finding better job opportunities after graduation.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of both sides exchanged gifts and took souvenir photos, expressing the desire for close cooperation between Ha Long University and Japanese partners in general, and Hokkaido province in particular.
