On the morning of September 12, 2025, Ha Long University welcomed and held a working session with the delegation of the Institute of Vietnam and World Economy (under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences) on the framework program of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation in Quang Ninh.

The meeting was organized under the assignment of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, through the Quang Ninh Department of Science and Technology, within the framework of the research project “Developing priority orientations and identifying science, technology, and innovation tasks in Quang Ninh Province until 2030”, led by Dr. Ha Huy Ngoc – Director of the Center for Research on Local and Territorial Strategic Policy, Vietnam Institute of Economics and World Economy – as the Project Leader.

The view of the meeting

During the session, the two sides discussed:

• The current situation of research, application, and transfer of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation at Ha Long University;

• The university’s role in training high-quality human resources to serve the socio-economic development of Quang Ninh Province;

• Proposals for priority science and technology programs and tasks until 2030, with orientations to 2035;

• Several recommendations on mechanisms and policies to promote cooperation, application of science and technology, and innovation in management, training, and research.Delegation of the Institute of Vietnam and World Economy

Buổi làm việc đã diễn ra trong không khí cởi mở, hợp tác và thực chất, tạo cơ sở khoa học và thực tiễn cho việc xây dựng chiến lược phát triển khoa học công nghệ, đổi mới sáng tạo và chuyển đổi số của tỉnh Quảng Ninh. Đồng thời, đây cũng là dịp để Trường Đại học Hạ Long khẳng định vai trò trong đào tạo, nghiên cứu và chuyển giao tri thức, góp phần thúc đẩy sự phát triển bền vững của địa phương trong giai đoạn tới.
