On May 21, 2026, Ha Long University delegation led by Dr. Phan Thi Hue – Vice Rector of the University, Director of the Center for Science, Technology and Innovation, along with representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Science Management, attended the international scientific conference entitled “Digital Literacy – Leveraging Educational and Training Institutions in the New Era” held at Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism.

The conference was jointly organized by Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism, the Institute for South Asian, West Asian and African Studies under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, the National Startup Association, together with domestic and international agencies and organizations. The event attracted approximately 300 delegates from many countries around the world.
At the conference, experts, educational administrators, and international delegates focused on discussing the role of digital competencies in education; developing digital skills for lecturers, students, and administrators; building digital education ecosystems; strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and enterprises in digital skills training; as well as issues related to safety, ethics, and data protection in the digital environment.

The event was attended by ambassadors to Vietnam from several countries, including the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Türkiye, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bulgaria, Malaysia, and Bangladesh, along with representatives from the embassies of Belarus, Mozambique, the UAE, and Egypt, as well as representatives of KOCHAM (Korea Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam).
On this occasion, Dr. Phan Thi Hue – Vice Rector of Ha Long University, together with representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Scientific Management, met, exchanged ideas, and established connections with ambassadors and diplomatic representatives in order to promote opportunities for international cooperation in education, scientific research, academic exchange, and the development of high-quality human resources in the coming years.

Participation in the conference was highly meaningful for Ha Long University’s current digital transformation orientation. The discussions and exchanges at the conference enabled the University to update its understanding of digital education trends, enhance digital competencies for lecturers and students, and strengthen connections with domestic and international partners to promote innovation, digital transformation, and international integration in higher education.
