The book has been translated and adapted into charming, child-friendly rhyming verses by staff members of Ha Long University, making it both engaging and memorable for young readers.

More than just a picture book, the publication also introduces basic knowledge about waste fishing gear and offers practical suggestions for actions that children and their families can take to help protect the marine environment.

The publication of The Rescue Journey of Tung Tang Fish and the Blue Bay Home is one of Ha Long University's communication and public awareness initiatives under the REVFIN Project – Prevention, Reduction and Recycling of Waste Fishing Gear in Vietnamese Waters. In addition to conducting scientific research, promoting international cooperation, establishing a Demonstration Space for Waste Fishing Gear Recycling Technologies, and transferring innovative recycling solutions, the University places strong emphasis on raising public awareness—particularly among younger generations—about marine environmental protection.

Through this creative and educational publication, Ha Long University hopes to spread the message of reducing plastic waste, promoting the sustainable use of natural resources, and encouraging collective efforts to protect marine ecosystems for future generations.
